Heat Resistant Polypropylene Compounds For High Temperature Appliance Parts
Product Description
Heat Resistant Polypropylene (HRPP) compounds are specifically engineered to maintain structural stability and dimensional integrity in environments where continuous exposure to elevated temperatures is required. Unlike standard PP, which tends to deform at temperatures above 100°C, HRPP compounds are modified with heat stabilizers and crystallinity enhancers, enabling them to resist warpage and deformation up to 130–150°C. These materials are widely used in appliance parts such as coffee machine housings, steam iron handles, kettle bases, and microwave oven accessories.

Precautions
Before processing, ensure the material is pre-dried at 80–90°C for 2–3 hours to avoid moisture-related defects. During product design, avoid sharp edges or thin walls, which can cause stress concentration under high heat. For applications involving direct food contact, select FDA/EU-compliant grades. When used in appliances with metal heating elements, ensure proper clearance to avoid thermal conduction damage.
Features, Advantages & Properties
Working Principle & Applications
By incorporating stabilizers, antioxidants, and nucleating agents, the crystalline structure of PP is reinforced, enhancing its thermal resistance while retaining toughness. These compounds are ideal for appliance housings, steam-resistant parts, handles, and components near heating zones, where long-term exposure to heat must not compromise mechanical strength.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1: Are you a manufacturer or a trading company?
A1: We are a professional manufacturer specializing in modified engineering plastics, including PA6, PA66, PP and other reinforced, flame-retardant, heat-stabilized, UV-resistant and wear-resistant compounds. With our own R&D and production facilities, we provide high-quality materials directly from the factory.
Q2: Can you provide customized material solutions?
A2: Yes. We offer tailor-made formulations according to customer requirements, including reinforcement ratio, color, additives, mechanical strength, heat resistance and processing properties. Our technical team can work closely with you to develop materials that perfectly match your application.
Q3: What industries do your products mainly serve?
A3: Our products are widely used in automotive parts, household appliances, furniture components, industrial equipment, electronics, daily necessities and more. We focus on delivering reliable engineering plastics for demanding applications.
Q4: Do you provide free samples for testing?
A4: Yes, we can provide small quantity samples free of charge for quality testing and evaluation. The customer only needs to cover the freight cost.
Q5: What are your minimum order quantity (MOQ) and lead time?
A5: Our standard MOQ is usually 10 ton per order. Lead time is typically 10-20 working days depending on the quantity and material specifications.
Q6: How do you guarantee product quality?
A6: All products are manufactured under strict quality control standards. We use advanced testing equipment to check mechanical properties, thermal stability, flame retardancy and other performance indicators. Every batch comes with a COA (Certificate of Analysis) before delivery.
Q7: Which packaging and shipping methods do you use?
A7: Our standard packaging is 25kg bags with palletized loading to ensure safe transportation. We can also offer customized packaging as requested. Shipping options include sea, air and express delivery based on customer needs.
