Notes: The general guidelines are only for reference. Exact settings have to follow the product and machine conditions.
Avoid contact with other materials, dust and debris in the injection processing.
Avoid long time stay in the barrel in the injection processing.
During processing, it is recommended to pre-dry the pellets at 80–100°C for 3–4 hours to prevent moisture-related defects such as surface bubbles and reduced mechanical properties. Proper temperature control in injection molding is essential, as overheating may lead to degradation. When in use, products made from this material should avoid prolonged exposure to extreme humidity or direct sunlight unless stabilized with additives. Operators should wear protective gloves during handling to prevent skin irritation from glass fibers.
High tensile strength and rigidity compared to unreinforced nylon
Excellent dimensional stability and reduced shrinkage rate
Good heat resistance, making it suitable for high-load conditions
Superior fatigue resistance under repetitive mechanical stress
Lightweight alternative to metal components, reducing manufacturing cost
Compatible with surface treatments and coatings for enhanced aesthetics
The inclusion of glass fibers within the nylon matrix distributes mechanical load evenly, improving strength and reducing deformation. This composite material is particularly suitable for power tool housings, where safety and durability are critical. Other applications include mechanical gears, automotive under-the-hood parts, electronic housings, and furniture components. By replacing metals, manufacturers achieve cost savings, reduced weight, and improved design flexibility.
